Welcome to the website of Derbyshire-based painter and printmaker Duncan Pass.
Duncan's paintings are inspired by the landscape of the Derbyshire Peak District, whilst his prints explore many different subjects, from Vikings and Norse myths to life growing up in a Derbyshire pit village. He uses various presses which he has designed and built himself, and for his prints combines woodcut techniques which date back to the Middle Ages with modern materials.
His work has been featured in Artsbeat magazine, Reflections magazine and Derbyshire Life Magazine. He runs workshops, and has been artist-in-residence at Derby Arboretum and with Inspire Nottinghamshire Libraries.
